Contains: In the temple; March; Study in D minor (for fingers 3, 4, 5); Two robins. These pieces were written for Margaret Joy Hines at the request of her piano teacher Dennis Brain. Includes correspondence between Joy's mother, Mrs. J. M. Hines and Hyde, as well as Hyde's response to Hines and to Dennis Brian.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The collection was donated to the Library by Miriam Hyde in a number of instalments from 1976 to 1996. A further instalment was donated to the Library by Hyde's daughter Christine Edwards in 2021.
