Featuring an extensive set of letters from Algeranoff to his mother, Alice Essex, together with some replies. These letters illuminate Algeranoff's life as a touring dancer in the 1920s and 1930s, including visits to Australia in 1926 and 1929. There are also letters to Algeranoff from his sister Kitty Hutter (Catherine), his brother R.A.Y. (Richard Alistair Yorke) Essex, his wife Claudie (Didi) and his son Noel, together with letters to the Kendall family.
Typescript extracts of Algeranoff's letters to his mother, 1923-1925, are found in Series 16.

- The Algeranoff Papers were donated to the Library by Algeranoff's son, Noel Essex, in 1969 and 1971.
