Content Summary:

The Society was created in 1961 as an amalgamation of three ballet guilds - Mildura and District, Robinvale and Swan Hill. Later the Society expanded to include Ouyen, Sea Lake and Kerang. Algeranoff joined the Society in February 1962 as Ballet Master. He continued to teach and lecture in the region until his death in 1967.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The Algeranoff Papers were donated to the Library by Algeranoff's son, Noel Essex, in 1969 and 1971.
