Slessor attended Sydney Church of England Grammar School (SCEGS) from 1915 to 1918 and his son Paul attended the school during the 1960s. This small series includes two copies of the Christmas 1917 issue of the magazine of the upper fifth form, Pi, of which Slessor was one of the editors. Other papers cover the period from 1962 to 1968 and include a few copies of Shore reports and the Shore weekly record, pamphlets about the school's building fund appeal, speech day programs, notices about fees and the 1968 issue of the school magazine, Torch bearer.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers of the poet and journalist Kenneth Slessor were offered to the National Library by his brother Robin Slessor, executor of the will, after his death in 1971. The National Library purchased the papers in 1972. Eight additional consignments of papers received by the Library between 1979 and 2000 were variously purchased from Robin Slessor, Paul Slessor and Peter Elder.
