Power; a typescript copy of Walter Barrett's autobiography A Drover on the Downs (1940), the handwritten memoirs of articles issued by the Round Table group in 1920 entitled White Australia, Australia's record in Papua and the Western Australian Public Service Strike, addresses by George Fairbairn, D.A. Swanson, Clements Langford, H.T. Braddon, and Stirling Taylor on industrial relations; and typed extracts from books by Arnold Toynbee, F. Cumont and others, and from the New York Times, The Atlantic and The Manchester Guardian.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers of Herbert Brookes were presented to the National Library in April 1967 by his widow Ivy Deakin Brookes. In October 1967 she deposited her own extensive collection, and together they form the Brookes Papers.
