Space exploration was a natural extension of Crome's interest in aviation and in aerophilately. This series mostly comprises ephemera and publications collected by Crome. Most material is American (NASA), but there is some Soviet and Australian material. Some papers, including groups of technical publications such as flight plans, were given and annotated to Crome by people involved in NASA.
Most the papers in the series were originally loose, and have been arranged chronologically.
