Content Summary:

Most photographs are captioned. Subjects include Australian troops and tanks and Japanese tanks in New Guinea; a rooster kept as a mascot by a RAAF squadron in the Western Desert; and British aircraft and balloon barrage.

Some photographs have been transferred to the Pictures collection, E A Crome collection of photographs on aviation, call number PIC 3394. Some have been digitised and are available to view online. Photocopies of removed photographs have been retained.

The propaganda comprises three items, with a cover letter from L Pitman in Bristol, 1946. The items are a leaflet dropped over France by the RAF; leaflet in German dropped over Holland, 1941; and Nachrichten fur die truppe, apparently dropped by the Luftwaffe for their frontline troops, 1944.
