Comprises ten US propaganda postcards of aircraft, most with the slogan 'Keep 'em flying'; Shell collectible card series on meteorology (55 cards); Wills cigarette cards featuring aviation, Victoria Cross heroes and war incidents (27 cards); series of 25 Lambert Butler cigarettes Famous British Airmen Airwomen cards; five cards of planes from Giant brand licorice; cards picturing airplanes and automobiles in Czech (12 cards); four postcards of places and events in Queensland, including Maroochydore and Charleville; approximately 60 Bryman Redheads safety matches collectible cards, mostly ships and planes; book about aircraft illustrated with 48 Players cigarette cards; Golden Play book of Airline Stamps, Golden Press, New York, 1954; swap card album Uniforms of the Australian armed services; and four postcards for commercial airlines Lufthansa, Eastern Air Lines, Western Airlines and TWA. Also includes commercial packet Messageries Maritimes de France, which may have originally contained postcards, with fold out map of Paquebot Oceanien, 1889.
Also includes 23 postcards addressed to Mr L H Welch, 1933-1938, most from Europe. In a note with them Crome has written 'These are interesting postcards. Some describe the happening events and people during the thirties in Europe. I understand that Mr Welch was either a former Secretary of the League of Nations or one of the principals at Geneva'.
