- Papers comprise typescript of a piece by Street entitled 'Rose Scott centenary' and the transcript of interviews of early suffragettes recorded by Street in London in 1960. Interviewees were Lilian Lenton, Charlotte 'Charlie' Marsh, Eileen Casey and Mary Leigh. There is also an incomplete typescript of a piece by Monica Whately, L.C.C., entitle 'Dorothy Evans, the story of a militant'.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- Jessie Street's husband, Sir Kenneth Street, donated the papers to the National Library in 1970. Her son, Sir Laurence Street, made a substantial addition in 1972. Further small additions were made to the collection between 1973 and 2001.
