It will be remembered that Threlkeld's 'Specimen of a Dialect of the Aborignines of New South Wales' was published in Sydney in 1827. this manuscript is therefore 'THE FIRST WORK DEVOTED TO ANY DIALECT OF THE AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINES.', Sept 1825
