Retirement Statuette

Containers:
Box 20
Component identifier:
File Item 35A
Content Summary:
The statuette was created by donations from Graeme Clark's friends and staff in acknowledgement of his 34 years as Head of the University's Department of Otolaryngology. It was designed and sculpted by Michael Meszaros, a Melbourne sculptor. It symbolises the togetherness of people with implants, the association of technology on the left and nerve responses on the right and the spiral of the inner ear in the middle, recognising Clark's integration of research and clinical work and pointing heavenwards to acknowledge inspiration from God.
