Amongst the papers in this series are galleys of and correspondence relating to the book, Take Your Partners, articles for The Oxford Companion to Australian Folklore (O.U.P. 1993), a UNESCO project, 'The Universe of Music: a history' (apparently unpublished) and the Currency Companion to Music and Dance in Australia, a paper presented in collaboration with Lucy Stockdale at the 1986 Folklore Conference, correspondence and other material relating to a set of four videos and booklets on 'How Australia danced last century' which Stockdale and Andrews produced in the 1990s, various articles written by Andrews for publication in folk music and dance newsletters and magazines and a transcript of an oral history interview of Andrews, conducted by Chris Sullivan in 1984.

- Immediate source of acquisition:
- Shirley Andrews bequeathed her papers to Wendy Lowenstein and Lucy Stockdale. The papers were purchased by the Library from Lowenstein and Stockdale in 2002 and 2003 respectively. The audio-visual material held in the Oral History Section was received in 2005 from Stockdale.
