Comprises a small group of papers accumulated by Harold S. Williams. There are writings by Williams, including several published works and a scrapbook of cuttings of articles he wrote on tours into Communist China in 1964-1965; two photograph albums, one containing images of damage resulting from World War II and one of images of the Williams' beach house at Makidani Village; colour slides of images relating to Japanese culture and architecture; historical notes by Williams about Cameron and Co.; a scrapbook kept by Jean Williams, containing cuttings and a small group of correspondence, 1958-1986; photographs, writings and artefacts relating to Isaac Ailion, Mabel Ailion and family; and a set of prints of a group of paintings by Hiroshige and Keisai Eisen entitled "The 70 stages of the Kisokaido".

Immediate source of acquisition:
Harold and Gertrude (Jean) Williams between 1978 and 1995 donated the collection to the Library in numerous instalments. Further material was added in 2002 and 2005.
