- Series 12 consists of eight folders of letters to both Esther and George Gill which were found together in the collection. They have been sorted into rough date order and cover the years 1929-1971. These folders have letters from Australian Encyclopaedia, Art Advisory Board, M. Hornibrook, A.N.U. Research School of Pacific Studies. Correspondence with James Penberthy (composer and first husband of Barbara Newman), Thomas Wood (Composer) and the University of Melbourne have been kept in separate folders as they were found in separate folders when the collection was sorted. Other correspondents are Lord Casey, Asher Joel, Dame Pattie Menzies and there is also letters from the National Library regarding the collection.
