Postcards

Component identifier:
Subseries 10B
Content Summary:
Three postcard albums and some loose postcards have been brought together to form this subseries. The albums contain postcards collected during Bearup's travels as a ship's wireless operator and they show places in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere. The loose postcards show 3LO broadcasting artists and the 3LO children's parties. Some of them are signed by the people depicted in the postcards.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The bulk of the Bearup Papers were received between 1979 and 1987 from T.W. Bearup and his daughter Cecilie Bearup. The main body of material was donated by Bearup in 1982. The material contained in Series 14 was donated by Bearup in 1979, and was formerly held at MS 1868. Two small additions were made in 2011 and 2012.
