- This series consists chiefly of scripts of Wilmot's BBC and ABC broadcasts, 1946-53, in addition to some related material including correspondence, newscuttings and scripts of after dinner speeches. The subject matter of the broadcasts relate mainly to current affairs and to the history of World War II. Also included in this series are Wilmot's letters to his family, 1946-54.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- This collection was presented to the National Library by Edith Wilmot in 1991 and arrived in Canberra in January 1992. It consists primarily of Chester Wilmot's papers, but also includes material added by Edith Wilmot in the years since Chester's death. A further transfer was received from the Wilmot family in 2024.
