- Contains all surviving personal records prior to going to Papua New Guinea, except for letters received from her husband during World War II. They include letters she wrote to her family while overseas travelling with her aunt, Bessie Rischbieth, a well known feminist [See also MS2004]. There is also a batch of letters for the same period, from Bessie Rischbieth to her sister, Olive Evans, Rachel's mother, who later handed them on to Rachel. There is also the record of the death of her younger brother killed in action in World War II.
