(a) Galley proof of the poem with alterations and corrections in the autograph of James Devaney, together with a letter from the latter to Neilson discussing the subject of copyright.

(b) Photograph of John Neilson and his brother William, sitting side by side. In this photograph John is aged 20, his brother 22 years old, and they are so alike that they could pass for twins. The reverse of the photograph is inscribed: "To J.K. Moir with best wishes from Frank Neilson, 6.12.47".

(c) Typewritten copy of letter sent by Father Patrick Smythe (Ballarat, 13.12.1854) to W.H. Archer, Acting Registrar General at Melbourne. An interesting letter descriptive of events at Eureka.
