Full morocco over the original wrappers preserved. Inscribed: "To Harry Chaplin from the Knight Grand Cheese, 'J.K.' 8.11.45".

Inserted, several items as follows. Autograph note from Shaw Neilson to J.K. Moir: "To J.K.M. Thanks for Allan's poem. Good wishes from Shaw Neilson, Xmas '38". Letter from Neilson to Devaney, hand written by Frank Neilson and signed "J.S. Neilson". "...I had a bit of verse in the Bread and Cheese Anthology which came out lately. I sent this to them last September. I meant to send it to you for your opinion but they were in a great hurry to get it, as they expected to have their magazine out in November. Allan and Ted Harrington have written some fine verse for it, and I think the foreword by Pat O'Leary is excellent..." He also refers to his book Beauty Imposes. "I think there should be some chance of selling the rest of them about Xmas time, if all the world is not at war before then." An autograph letter from 'Jim Grahame' (signed Jim Gordon) to Rod Quinn; a short friendly letter making references to Bohemia. Both these poets are also represented in this little volume.

The colophon states that only 100 copies of this book were printed.
