Diaries
- Component identifier:
- Series 2
- Content Summary:
- From 1874-1918 these 'diaries' are little more than daily account books, with occasional brief entries regarding the weather and Watson's health. For the period 1918-1939, during which Watson travelled extensively, particularly in the Pacific the entries are fuller. In each diary Watson used a number of languages, German predominantly until 1884, after 1887 an increasing amount of Greek.
