This letter is tipped into a copy of Poems by Oscar Wilde. Elkin Mathews John Lane, London. 1892 Author's edition. No.52 of edition limited to 220 numbered copies on hand-made paper, signed by Wilde. Original cloth. Cr. 8vo. Extra gilt to an elaborate design on front and back cover, by Charles Ricketts. Gilt top. Uncut. Wilde's signature is characteristically flamboyant, making this handsome edition a fine piece for the collector.
The previous owner of this book also noted Panthea, and has lightly under-scored several passages in the poem, with pencil markings.
