Content Summary:

Soft leather covers. All edges gilt. 8vo

Brennan's own copy: his name on end paper, "Chris: Brennan, December 18th 1894". Later presented by him to his friend R.R. Kidston and inscribed: "Roderigo, C.B. 20.viii.1928", followed by an annotation in Latin, which translates: "If one shall fall he will be supported by the other; woe to the solitary man, who when he falls will have no one to lift him up". With annotations by Brennen.

Several of Brennan's notes are dated December 1894. Some annotations are in German.

There is an interesting note by Brennan alongside the poem, "I stood tiptoe upon a little hill". He has written: "Early verse: an amiable and garrulous eagerness that is at times restless and vulgar".
