A text for high-school students. Anna Brennan's copy with a few pencilled notes therein, and her full name, "Anna Helena Brennan", written on front end paper. Tipped on the rear end papers is a column length article which she wrote for the Bulletin, 17 April 1924, "Psycho-Analysis and Youth": an attack on the theories of Sigmund Freud.

Inserted is folding Menu Card for dinner at Paris House, Sydney, February 25th 1920. Embossed upon front cover is a horse-shoe, with the initials, "E.B." and "C.B." printed above and below. The card is autographed by Chris: Brennan, Elisabeth Brennan, Samuel Bowen, Anna Brennan, Winifred Bowen, Charles Johnson, Mrs E. Bowen, Mr C. Bowen, and Miss E. Bowen.
