Jim Fraser died in Canberra Community Hospital on 1 April 1970 following a short illness. He was accorded a State Funeral on 3 April at the Presbyterian Church of St Andrew in Forrest. Thousands of mourners listened to the service from the church grounds and many more lined the route to Canberra Cemetery.
The series contains the Order of service for the funeral, six books, containing names of those who attended, a vast number of sympathy cards, and press cuttings. The Oral History collection contains recordings of Jim Fraser's funeral service at St. Andrews.
