- The Advisory Council was set up by the Australian Government in 1980 to allow residents a greater say in the running of the island. The CIPSOA was asked to nominate a member. Included in this series is a general file and two files covering proceedings of the Council. The general file contains minutes of the foundation meeting in 1980 and those of other meetings during that year. Also included are notes on fauna on Christmas Island and a copy of an Ordinance relating to migratory birds and endangered species. The Proceedings files date from July 1981 to August 1982.
