Content Summary:

Donaldson went to work on Nauru in 1914 and eventually became head of the BPC Chipping Division in Melbourne. The diary covers the declaration of war in 1914 and the subsequent 'occupation' of Nauru by Australian troops. The original diary is in the possession of the family and may become available when Donaldson dies (he is now 93).

Meanwhile this is the only photocopy in existence. Some correspondence included (Item 6)
