My life revisited

Component identifier:
Series
Content Summary:

The bulk of this instalment relates to a project in which Williams was working on from 1980 to 1990 - a novel based on various incidents in his life, thought not necessarily autobiographical. The work went through several revisions and was variously titled: 'The waterfall', 'A ladder so high', 'The Jonas notebooks', 'My life revisited' (umbrella title) and 'The prima donna's daughter'. The final titles were Book One: 'The Jonas Road', and Book Two: 'The prima donna's daughter'.

Under these headings there are notes, drafts, revisions, retypings, abandoned chapters and some editorial letters. In folder 30 is a letter in which Williams describes the background to the project.
