Memorial Cairn erected on the site of "Shingle Hut" at the "old Selection" by the Cambooya Shire Council to mark the 100 anniversary of Steele Rudd's birth. This was the place of his boyhood home where he found the inspiration to later in life to write his famous "Selection" stories as well as others in a total of 24 books and four plays.
