Immediate source of acquisition:
Madame Robert Helois transcribed documents relating to Australia, held at the Archives of the Ministry of Marine in Paris and the Museum of Natural History in Le Havre, in Paris in 1912. She transcribed the papers, in longhandin French, at the request of Professor Ernest Scott who was acting on behalf of the Australian Government.
