Arthur James Alexander Fraser was born on 12 December 1880 and was ordained in 1905 by the first Archbishop of Sydney, William Saumarez Smith. Among other appointments, A. J. A. F. served as rector of Jamberoo (1908-12), rector of St Philip’s Auburn (1912-15), rector of St Alban’s Leura (1915-24), rector of St Oswald’s, Haberfield (1924-40) and Dean of St Peter’s Cathedral, Armidale, (1940-45). His autobiography, I remember, I remember, was published in 1977. He died in 1982
