Content Summary:

Correspondence, papers on local and federal election issues, election flyers and other advertising, speeches, policy statements, reports and newspaper cuttings, seminars, funding and fund-raising events. Note: lists of names and addresses of campaign helpers, polling booths rosters, mailing lists and financial accounts of the campaigns have been removed.

1972 campaign files include Wilson's letters to the editor 1970-71, papers of Sturt Liberal seminar, correspondence with Prime Minister McMahon, separate files of press cuttings, visits of Don Chipp, Philip Lynch, Sonia McMahon and Lou Reid, and on Wilson's Labour opponent Norm Foster; 1975 files include papers of Land Prices Seminar; 1977 files include press advertising and sign locations; 1979 files include Liberal Media seminar papers.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were created and maintained by Ian Wilson and donated to the National Library by him in 2010.
