This class reflects Richard's Bonynge's lifelong collecting interests and research into theatre and the performing arts, visual arts, and history.
Research files and special collections are organised according to individual performers and artists, and comprise a mix of theatre programmes, sheet music, letters, news cuttings, costume designs, orignal artworks, and research notes.
Additionally, this class includes eighteenth and nineteenth-century engravings of the London stage, miscellaneous theatre programmes and ephemera, publications by and about Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge, portfolio editions of the late nineteenth-century theatrical broadside The Stage and its Stars, and a complete set of custom bound Opera (UK) magazines from 1948 to the present.
Also of note are five unframed paintings by Hungarian-Australian artist Tibor Weiner.
