Requested by my teacher Raymond Hanson, for performance at a reception for David Oistrakh in the lower Sydney Town Hall, organised by the Anglo-Soviet Friendship Society. After the concert Alfred Hill presented Oistrakh with some tapes of his music… "Yer needn't think the stuff you've heard tonight is representative of Australian music. Some of us aren't afraid to write a choon!!"
