October 1919 diary: It deals with the political and industrial situation in England. It contains descriptions and comments on Members of Parliament including David Lloyd George, Andrew Bonar Law, Stanley Baldwin, and Austen Chamberlain; the economic situation, the Labor Party, the railway strike of 1919 and descriptions of conditions in factories.
