The collection includes A history of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, submitted for the degree of Master of Arts, University of Melbourne, 1954. There are also typescripts for Nation, including one on George Munster; correspondence with Humphrey McQueen, 1982; transcript of an interview with Tom Fitzgerald, including an index; and correspondence and a two-drawer card index for Nation, 1958-1990.

- Original consignment acquired from Professor Inglis (Boxes 1-41); further papers added to this consignment in December 1988 (Boxes 42-60) and September 1989 (Box 61). Note that boxes of published materials were transferred to the Library's print collections (Boxes 29-57). Additional papers received in various instalments from 1998 to 2008 (MS Acc98.147, MS Acc98.242, MS Acc99.255, MS Acc00.053, MS Acc01.283, MS Acc02.025, MS Acc04.049, MS Acc04.145, MS Acc07.007, MS Acc08.017, MS Acc08.172).
