This addition of papers was acquired under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme. They consist of personal papers of Thomas Keneally, mostly relating to his involvement with the Australian Republican Movement (ARM), which was launched in Sydney on 7 July 1991. Keneally played a prominent role in the establishment of the Movement, and was the first Chair. The papers detail the early stages of the development of the Movement, as well as documenting the continuing efforts of the campaign, and cover the period 1990-1996.

The Library has arranged the correspondence, publicity material and newspaper clippings by year, and the administrative papers into precise date order.
