Content Summary:
The Company was formed to raise money to acquire new premises for the Australian Ballet and the Australian Ballet School. Richard Munt, Company secretary was in charge. In 1986 Munt was appointed Secretary and General Manager of the Australian Ballet Development Pty. Ltd. and he assumed responsibility for the building of the new Ballet Centre. Keith Devenport was the appeal Director.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The first consignment of MS 7559 was transferred by the Australian Ballet in 1988 (Box 1-251), with an addition in 1996. Subsequent consignments were received in 2002, 2007 and 2009.
