Content Summary:

The Dancers' Company was formed in 1980 and comprises graduate students of the Australian Ballet School with guest principal and soloist artists of the Australian Ballet. It tours the regional centres and permits ballet to be performed in smaller venues.

Dame Margaret Scott and Marilyn Rowe Maver were the first two directors, followed by Kelvin Coe. Material includes memoranda, correspondence, press releases, programmes, media launches, and some photographs

Immediate source of acquisition:
The first consignment of MS 7559 was transferred by the Australian Ballet in 1988 (Box 1-251), with an addition in 1996. Subsequent consignments were received in 2002, 2007 and 2009.
