Content Summary:
During his career, Ross undertook a number of overseas trips to study and look at conditions of work and economic trends in other countries. In 1929 he was the recipient of a Rockefeller Fellowship and he used it to study in England at Manchester University and the London School of Economics. This small collection of diaries and notebooks records overseas trips in 1929-30 and 1963.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were purchased from Lloyd Ross by the National Library in three instalments in 1974, 1979 and 1982. Further instalments were received after his death, in 1988 and 1991.
