Content Summary:
Ross collected newscuttings of his own writings from the various newspapers he worked for including the Herald, articles written about him as State Secretary (NSW) of the Australian Railways Union and items of interest on a wide range of subjects including arbitration, automation, the economy, trade unions and wages. The original arrangement of the cuttings has been maintained and it has resulted in some overlap in the date range of the folders.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were purchased from Lloyd Ross by the National Library in three instalments in 1974, 1979 and 1982. Further instalments were received after his death, in 1988 and 1991.
