Copy of the novel Rigby's Romance, which appeared in the Barrier Truth (1905-6 in a serialised format), consisting of newspaper cuttings which have been pasted into an exercise book. The file also contains a photograph of Joseph Furphy who wrote under the pseudonym 'Tom Collins'. A letter in the exercise book written by Kate Baker, a close friend of Furphy, states that the original manuscript was given to Ross as a gift by the author

The papers were purchased from Lloyd Ross by the National Library in three instalments in 1974, 1979 and 1982. Further instalments were received after his death, in 1988 and 1991.
