Eggleston was a foundation member of the Institute, helped draft its constitution in 1927, was the Australian member on the Pacific Council for many years, and was chairman of delegations at conferences in Honolulu (1927), Kyoto, Japan (1929) and Yosemite, U.S.A. (1936). The series contains correspondence with W.L. Holland, P.E. Lilienthal, G. Caiger and others, together with printed matter and reports.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were received from the family of Sir Frederic Eggleston after his death in 1954.
