Photocopied research materials for unpublished manuscript of Jane Franklin's journey, Melbourne-Sydney-Hobart, a travel journal April-August 1839, transcripts of the diaries kept by Lady Franklin of her overland Journey from Port Phillip to Sydney in April - July 1839 and her time in NSW, written by Roger Milliss under Harold White Fellowship at the National Library of Australia in 1990.
Jane Franklin's journey is a large work of historical research. Roger Milliss transcribed, edited and wrote an introduction for this historic document, compiling comprehensive end notes for a projected publication. The research took place over two and a half years.
