- This series includes birth, marriage and death certificates, original degree certificates, testimonials, collections of biographical information, school and university memorabilia, a transcript (324 pages) of the oral history interview recorded in 1972, souvenirs, medical notes, fragments of verses and personal writings and so on. Family letters dating from the 1930s, arranged in broad chronological order, include carbon and original copies of correspondence between Forsyth and various family members. Some family correspondence is also contained in general and personal correspondence. This series also contains local and family history documents dating from 1875 on the Forsyth Family and the Western District of Victoria.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The papers were donated to the Library in several small instalments during the 1970s and 1980s and one large instalment after Forsyth's death in March 1993.
