This small series of personal and official correspondence and policy papers are from the period following Forsyth's return from Vietnam where he resumed duties as Assistant Secretary of the Department of External Affairs responsible for relations with the Commonwealth and United Nations.

The correspondents include D.K.R. Hodgkin, Brian Hill, Sir John Crawford, Gordon Greenwood and T.W. Cutts.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were donated to the Library in several small instalments during the 1970s and 1980s and one large instalment after Forsyth's death in March 1993.
