Lectures and lecture notes by McGuire during his position teaching history and English as a casual lecturer for the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) of South Australia in the early 1930s. There are also lecture notes for the Newman Institute of Christian Studies (Adelaide) and various speeches and talks given by McGuire throughout his life.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The collection was donated to the Library by Frances McGuire in 1980, 1984 and 1993. A small quantity of material from the 1980 instalment was purchased by the Library. Paul McGuire destroyed parts of his papers (particularly relating to the 1939-45 War) shortly before his death.
