Includes letters lobbying public officials regarding environmental concerns, letters to the editor, correspondence from environmental organisations, correspondence from the general public including school children concerned about the environment, and invitations to speak. Also includes correspondence of his brother Dr Dominic Serventy, Officer-in-Charge, CSIRO, Division of Wildlife, 1951-1969. (Who's who in Australia, 1977). Correspondence received by Serventy as an office holder in the Wild Life Preservation Society of Australia is in Files 96-106.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were donated by Serventy (mainly under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme) in numerous instalments between 1972 and 2003.
