In 1974, Molony was awarded an exchange scholarship by the Italian Government to undertake one year of study in Rome. His book, The emergence of political Catholicism in Italy: Partito Popolare 1919-1926, resulted from research undertaken while in Rome. It was published by Croom Helm, London, 1977. Contained in this series is a small quantity of papers relating to the book.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The bulk of the papers were acquired from John Molony in 1998, under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme (TIAS). Three earlier small consignments were received from Molony - two donated in 1981 and 1985 and one acquired under the TIAS in 1989.
