- Presbyterians, Methodists and Congregationalists began discusssions in the early 1960s on joining together in the Uniting Church. Discussions by official representatives of those churches took place over a number of years, and Garnsey attended the meetings as an observer. Correspondence, minutes of meetings, and draft discussion documents are in the papers, together with 'An Anglican response to the proposed basis of union' by Keith Raynor. Correspondents include J. Davis McCaughey, Maynard Davies, D'Arcy Wood, Godfrey Kircher and Colin Dyster.
