Content Summary:
This series contains printed material about Papua New Guinea ranging from pamphlets, various booklets, magazines, for example, Walkabout and The Bulletin, miscellaneous handbooks from the Australian School of Pacific Administration, monthly newsletters of the Pacific Manuscripts Bureau and reports from the Papua and New Guinea University of Technology. Gibson accumulated this material over a long period of time for its reference value and personal interest. Three black and white photographs of Port Denison, Sydney, received by Gibson in 1965 have been placed in this series.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were donated by Joan Gibson to the National Library in 1994.
